Who We Are
Connect Choir, is a brand new contemporary choir aimed at anyone who is 21 or over. Are you passionate about music? Do you have singing ability? Are you looking to improve your singing skills and further develop your ear for harmony? Perhaps you have performing experience and need an uplifting creative outlet after a long working day? Do you want to be a part of something that will boost confidence, is sociable, energetic, physical, uplifting and musically challenging?
We perform unique, bespoke vocal arrangements of popular, well known songs from across the genres; Soul, Rock, Indie, Folk, Funk, Pop. Music you love to listen to and music that excites you. From songs written by artists such as David Bowie, Burt Bacharach, The Who, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Queen, Aretha Franklin, Coldplay, Joni Mitchell, The Beatles, Beyonce, Alicia Keys and many, many more. We want to bring people together through a love of singing and music.

Meet our Choir Leader
Madaleine Pritchard BA (1st hons)
Musical Director and Project Manager
Madaleine has considerable experience working as a lead MD and arranger with both professional and amateur vocal groups and choirs across Scotland.
After graduating with a first class Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Strathclyde, Madaleine spent her formative years with bands such as the BAFTA award winning, OSCAR and GRAMMY nominated soul revivalists ‘The Commitments’.
Live appearances have included singing on stage with The Average White Band, Edwin Collins, The Skids, Paul Carrack of Mike And The Mechanics. Ricky Ross (Deacon Blue), Karine Polwart, Salsa Celtica, The Red Hot Chillie Pipers, Ian Anderson MBE (Jethro Tull) and Jon Fratelli.
Other highlights include opening for The Fun Lovin Criminals, Tom Jones, Al Green, Dr.John, Mayer Hawthorne, Hue and Cry, Edwin Starr, and British soul diva Alice Russell. Vocal writing and arranging credits include Carl Carlton (German guitarist/producer for Robert Palmer), Celtic musician Luke Daniels, Producer Josh Rhys Owen (Roc Nation).
Performances in major music festivals include T-in The Park (Scotland) Tabarka Jazz Festival (Tunisia, Africa) Edinburgh and Glasgow Blues and Jazz Festivals. Milwaulkee Irish Festival (USA), Winnipeg International Music Festival (Canada), Soul Summit Music Festival (New York, USA), Wickerman (Scotland), Isle of Wight Music Festival (UK), BBC Music Festival (London, Reading, Glasgow, UK)
As an artist and session vocalist, Madaleine has toured the world extensively and performed at world famous venues such as the House of Blues in both Chicago and Los Angeles, B.B Kings in New York, The Sony Centre in Toronto Canada, The Commodore Ballroom, Vancouver, The Jazz Cafe London as well as many theatres and music festivals across the USA, Canada, Norway, France, Italy, Denmark, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Africa, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Moscow and Sweden.
